Skinimalism | The Make Up Minimalism | Divya Toshniwal |

I came across this new term: Skinimalism, and I am instantly in love with it.  Skinimalism can be explained as going with minimal products on your skin. Skinimalism is the makeup minimalism.  Till a year ago, the trends in the beauty industry was filled with heavy make-up looks. Even the no-makeup look had layers of products on your skin. Not only did people put on makeup for occasions but it had become a part of our everyday life. Women would spend hours before stepping out of the house to put on makeup and style their hair and then again a half before going on to the bed to remove it all. With the Covid-19 lockdown and staying home for longer periods of time, we actually turned to the no make-up phase in our lives. Many of my make-up products expired too. Though I have been into minimalism for more than a couple of years now there were still a lot of products that I used on my skin. But the year 2020 has brought about this great change where I do not even ...

Aloe vera- A miracle for skin | Skinimalist Indian |

When we talk about skinimalism , it does not mean that we avoid taking care of our skin. Making the skin naturally healthy is what skinimalism targets.

When our skin doesn't look good naturally, we tend to apply makeup products to make ourselves feel good. But all those products use harsh chemicals which aren't friendly for your skin, causing it to become even duller than it was before and to look good you use even more products on your skin. It is like a vicious cycle that goes on and on. But not to worry. To break this cycle you need and intervention and the best intervention is all-natural aloe-vera gel. I say it again- all-natural aloe-vera gel. I am not saying the packaged versions don't work but the natural product direct from the plant will work the best.

The aloe vera plant thrives in dry and harsh conditions. In order to survive in such conditions, the leaves of the plant retain water. Aloe vera forms arbuscular mycorrhizae that help it to get better access to the minerals and nutrients in the soil. The retained water combined with the minerals results in the effectiveness of the aloe vera gel.

Benefits Of Aloe Vera Gel

1. Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory properties and hence it is great for treating sunburns. Since it has antioxidants and minerals it helps to heal the skin faster.

2.It helps your skin retain moisture without making it oily or greasy.

3.Aloe vera gel has vitamin C, E, and beta carotene. It helps in maintaining the elasticity of your skin and has anti-aging properties. It reduces spots, fine lines, and wrinkles.

4. Aloe vera has anti-microbial properties and thus helps to reduce acne and pimples on your skin.

5. Aloe vera boosts skin cell regeneration and thus helps to reduce blemishes and uneven skin tone.

6. It also helps in de-tanning and works as a sunscreen too.

7. Aloe vera also helps in the reduction of stretch marks and redness of the skin.

How to use natural aloe-vera gel for your face?

1. Cut a small portion of the aloe leaf. Slice off the thorns. Cut it from the middle exposing the gel part. You can rub the gel gently on your face. Keep it for 15 minutes and then wash your face with lukewarm water. Make it an everyday routine.

2. Take the pulp out and blend it with a little oil (coconut, almond, or olive whichever suits your skin). Apply it on your face and then wash it with face wash. This works wonders for dry skin. Oily skin people should stick to the first way.

3. Add aloe vera gel to any homemade face packs and increase its effectiveness.

Forest Essentials has a Rose - Aloevera  gel which is an amazing product if you want to purchase readymade aloevara gel.
